In tribute to Paul Abbott, a Merchant Tailor hailing from Pomfret, Massachusetts, this bedroom likely served as his own quarters over two centuries ago.

Upon the house's completion in 1812, Abbott departed, leaving behind his wife and their three-month-old daughter, May, to fulfill a commission from Lewis County and join the ranks to combat in the War of 1812 at Sackets Harbor.
