The Waters Room

Formerly designated as the Sewing Room, this space now bears the name of the house's third proprietor, Van Rensselaer Lansing Waters. A prosperous dry goods merchant, Waters played a pivotal role in establishing the village water district and transforming Lowville Academy into its present-day structure.

Upon acquiring the estate, Waters initiated significant renovations by dismantling the wooden rear section and expanding the house fourfold. Additionally, he subdivided his land, thereby giving rise to Waters Terrace, a testament to his impactful contributions to the community.

This room boasts a king-size iron bed and a meticulously appointed private bath complete with a shower, offering guests a picturesque view of Waters Terrace.
